The President of the People's Police Academy (PPA) of Vietnam, Pol. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Xuen Yem (pictured on left side of photo at left)—along with senior members of his staff—visited the Office of International and Executive Programs (OIEP) on June 29, 2017.  The agenda included reviewing the status of the UMD-PPA Joint Master’s Degree in Justice Leadership (the second cohort of which graduated in December 2016) and options for further cooperation.

In addition to the director and staff of OIEP, the PPA delegation was briefed by Associate Dean Wayne McIntosh (College of Behavioral and Social Sciences), Professor James Lynch (outgoing chair of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice) and Professor Sally Simpson (incoming chair of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice).
