The Office of International and Executive Programs (OIEP) organized a celebration on December 15, 2017 in honor of newly minted graduates of the University of Maryland (UMD)-Nanjing Normal University (NNU) joint Master's degree in Criminal Justice.

A series of speakers—including Jeffrey Franke (assistant dean of the Graduate School), Wayne McIntosh (associate dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, or BSOS), Sally Simpson (acting chair of the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice), and Patrick Frazier (office of International Student and Scholar Services)—delivered brief remarks praising the individual and collective achievements of the graduates.

Graduates will receive their UMD diplomas during a formal graduation ceremony that will be held at Nanjing Normal University on January 22, 2018; OIEP program manager Lisa Chen will represent BSOS/OIEP during the proceedings.
