The Office of International and Executive Programs (OIEP) organized a celebration on December 22, 2015 in honor of newly minted graduates of the University of Maryland (UMD)-Nanjing Normal University (NNU) joint Master's degree in Criminal Justice.
A series of speakers—including Gregory Ball (dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences), Wayne McIntosh (associate dean of BSOS), Ann Holmes (assistant dean of BSOS), James Lynch (chair of UMD's Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice) and Mengxue Li (director of OIEP)—delivered brief remarks praising the individual and collective achievements of the graduates.
On behalf of the cohort, Zheng Yulin gave a brief response during which she thanked BSOS, the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, and OIEP for their efforts.
Graduates will receive their UMD diplomas during a formal graduation ceremony that will be held at Nanjing Normal University on January 21, 2016; BSOS Dean Gregory Ball and OIEP Director Mengxue Li are scheduled to participate in the proceedings.
