The Office of International and Executive Programs (OIEP) organized a welcome reception on June 26, 2019 in honor of newly arrived students enrolled in the University of Maryland (UMD)-Nanjing Normal University (NNU) joint Master's degree in Criminal Justice

In addition to the students and OIEP faculty, Dean Gregory Ball (of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, or BSOS) and several other UMD faculty also participated in the event.

The students arrived at UMD in mid-June to begin the final phase of their program.  Following a brief period of personal and academic orientation to acculturate themselves to their new living and study environments, they began summer courses and started work on group presentations, which will be presented to a panel of UMD faculty in December 2019.
