Journal Supported by OIEP
The Office of International and Executive Programs (OIEP) helped launch the publication entitled Energy, Ecology and Environment. The Joint Center on Global Change and Earth System Science—a project of the University of Maryland and Beijing Normal University—sponsors the journal, and OIEP Director Mengxue Li sits on its Editorial Board.
Energy, Ecology and Environment, published by the prestigious academic press Springer, offers a cross-disciplinary forum for investigating themes such as shortages in natural resources, strained ecosystems and deterioration of the natural environment.
By publishing multi-disciplinary research and examining integrated solutions, the journal goes well beyond the economic approaches that typically dominate environmental debates.
